I have drawn and painted as a form of expressing myself from childhood and was lucky enough to attend
Canterbury High School of the Arts for High School and then continued my art studies at Mt. Allison University
with a major in painting and photography.
This laid the groundwork for my career in graphic design, and brings a lot of joy to my life.

Sea, Sky, Heart and Mind
Inspired by the landscapes of a dear destination of mine, Clare Island, Ireland, I painted a series that would keep me there when I couldn’t be.
Self-Portrait in Essences
What began as an intention to draw traditional floral paintings a la Charles Rennie Mackintosh, morphed into painting the flowers from flower essences I was taking as traditional medicine and while I painted the animals showed up and the relation to each chakra system in the body. Two more came through with the Wolf and the Owl.
Totems and Souls
In these portraits, I did portraits of friends and loved ones or personal heroes as animals, incorporating elements of human form combined with the animal. In some there
are elements of a necklace or feather that are associated with
that person.
The Deep
After being inspired by the documentary Eco-Pirate: The Story of Paul Watson, I began painting the creatures of the deep. My intention is to one day paint the most endangered species in an oversized format. It will happen, just need to manifest the studio that could hold the scale.
