Y: The Last Man
My experience on Y: The Last Man was interrupted by the pandemic shutting down production in March 2020. Prior to the shut down though, we were working away at creating the apartment of the main character Yorick, whose interests lay in magic tricks and primates. We were also creating ID’s and passports to use in the memorial scenes of the men who were lost.
For the Australian Aboriginal Art poster, I had fun drawing the aboriginal patterns on top of a stock image. With the woman juggling the men’s heads, I wanted to achieve a sense of whimsy where there was also a sense of what was to come. The men were the target of the virus. I used a stitching effect to create a sense of collage and 3d.
